Overview

This is a journey shaped as much by what you taste as where you go.

It begins with a pause in Rome. A few days to arrive, to settle, to let the pace of everyday life fall away. Then, a train south. The landscape widens. The air changes. And Puglia begins to reveal itself. From there, the rhythm shifts.

You move by bike through a region defined by light, land, and food. Olive groves stretch for miles. Whitewashed towns rise quietly in the distance. The Adriatic appears, disappears, then returns again. Each day carries its own cadence. Morning rides through rolling countryside. Midday stops that turn into long lunches. Evenings that gather around a table, where stories are shared as easily as the wine.

And the food is not an add-on.
It is the experience.
Fresh cheeses in small-town markets. Bread still warm. Olive oil pressed just beyond the road you’ve been riding. A cooking lesson in a village that hasn’t rushed in generations. Primitivo wines that carry the weight and warmth of the land.

You don’t just pass through Puglia.
You meet it—bite by bite, glass by glass.

The route itself is generous. Rolling terrain, quiet country roads, coastal stretches, and historic towns that invite you to slow down rather than push through. Distances are meaningful, but never the point. There is space here. Space to ride at your own pace. Space to connect as a group, then drift into your own rhythm. Space to notice what often gets missed.

You stay in small hotels and local places that reflect the character of the region. Nothing overdone. Everything considered. Evenings soften. Conversations deepen. By the time you arrive in Lecce, something subtle has happened.

Not dramatic. Not forced.
Just a quiet appreciation for what it feels like to move through a place fully, through its landscapes, its people, and its table.
