Most people prepare financially for retirement. Far fewer prepare emotionally for the life that follows. And yet retirement is not simply a change in schedule. It is a transition of identity, rhythm, relationships, purpose, and pace. A shift that asks deeper questions than most people expect.
Who am I beyond my work?
What do I want my days to feel like now?
What deserves more of my attention in this next chapter?
What have I postponed for “someday”?
The Retirement Rehearsal is a four-day, three-night retreat designed to create the kind of space where those questions can finally surface honestly.
Set high above Okanagan Lake at Sparkling Hill Resort, this experience blends guided reflection, meaningful conversation, and deep physical restoration. Mornings begin with thoughtful sessions exploring the emotional and practical realities of retirement and transition. Afternoons open into spaciousness: time in the 40,000 sq. ft. KurSpa, heated outdoor pools overlooking the lake, restorative sauna and steam circuits, quiet lounges, walks, rest, and room to think more clearly.
Because there are seasons when pushing harder no longer creates clarity.
Space does.
This retreat is intentionally designed for people approaching retirement, semi-retirement, or simply sensing that the next chapter of life deserves more intention than autopilot allows.
You do not need to arrive with a plan.
Just a willingness to pause long enough to listen.
This retreat is for you if:
You are approaching retirement and wondering what comes next
You feel both excitement and uncertainty about this transition
You want to think beyond finances and toward the shape of a meaningful life
You are asking bigger questions about purpose, identity, relationships, or contribution
You sense something is shifting, even if you cannot fully name it yet
You long for perspective, rest, and thoughtful conversation
This is an intimate small-group experience, limited to 14 participants.
Each day includes:
The pace is intentional.
Nothing rushed.
Nothing performative.
Nothing to prove.
When you give yourself the space to step away, something begins to shift, quietly at first, then more clearly.
Over four days, you can expect:
You’ll leave with:
Because retirement is not simply about leaving work. It is about learning how to live differently.
